I’m April Garner, a Certified Zentangle® Teacher (CZT) based in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. I discovered Zentangle a couple of years ago when I attended an introductory lesson at a friend’s home, and I’ve never looked back. Zentangle has done wonders to help me manage anxiety and curb my tendency toward perfectionism. It’s made a huge positive impact on my life, and I want to share those tools with others. If you can hold a pen and write the letters i, c, s, and o, you can learn to create images like the ones below.

I’ve been teaching Zentangle informally at Oak Ridge Unitarian Universalist Church, and I finally took the plunge and became a CZT in Fall 2024. I absolutely love teaching Zentangle to both beginners and advanced tanglers, and I’m excited to bring my practice to the wider community. I hope to help build a supportive community of active tanglers in Oak Ridge.
